Meeting the parents.

One of the most important aspects of finding the right nanny is to meet the parents. I personally like to get to know the parents so I can have real insight into the type of nanny they are looking for. One of the benefits of owning a nanny agency is getting to know both the clients and the nannies, particularly when the nanny completes one job and returns to the nanny agency to find another. Nannies, like anyone else want to feel safe and secure in the environment in which they are placed just as clients want the same from their nannies. That is the true benefit of using a service that values both clients and nannies.

A new approach to finding a nanny.

Throughout my years of placing nannies I have developed a unique approach to selecting nannies. Our nannies are required to complete a detailed application form from which I can ascertain if they have the relevant experience to possibly become a member of the Arlington Nanny Agency. All nannies whose applications are good enough will be interviewed at least twice by myself. I believe this is vital to really get to know the nannies so I can feel confident about placing them in your home, that they will meet the same high level of care that a parent would provide. All references are checked and a detailed background check is preformed. All information will be provided to the parents before the nanny is placed.

Initial consultation with client minimum 1 hour with agency owner Sally Marshall. During this time we will address all nanny related questions including nanny salary and taxes.

Detailed job description prepared and approved by the client.
Nanny completes a detailed application form the client will be able to see before meeting the nanny.
If a candidate meets our requirements we will set up an initial phone interview
Minimum of two face to face interviews
References checked and sent to clients. We ask for 3 child care related references from all our nannies. Parents are also encouraged to check references as sometimes previous parents feel more comfortable talking to another parent.
Thorough and detailed background check including a national screen, county searches, and social security verification. We also monitor the nanny during employment.
Candidates are presented to the client and guidance is provided throughout client/candidate interviews - we have a unique approach that guarantees the perfect match.
Nanny and family interviews set up
Job offer - we help negotiate pay and job terms, making sure everything is covered in our custom made work agreement.
Final paperwork completed
Payment is made to the agency on the day the nanny starts.
